The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein vs Milton Friedman

I am currently reading The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein.

It's popular in the British book shops right now, and I saw a review of it because of my growing interest in Latin American politics.

The problem with Klein's book (not to mention it lacking intellectual or journalistic integrity), is captured in an article exposing the book:

IN THE FUTURE, if you tell a student or a journalist that you favor free markets and limited government, there is a risk that they will ask you why you support dictatorships, torture, and corporate welfare. The reason for the confusion will be Naomi Klein's book The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism.

I may post my rebuttal's to Naomi Klein's distortions once I've finished the book, but this video does a good job of showing Naomi up for pretty much what she is.

Then read the intelligent comments on this page
